In addition, you may want to consider a respite stay for someone who is recuperating from an injury or illness and does not have a family member close by to provide some short term assistance.

If a community has a vacant apartment, they will furnish them with all the necessities and allow someone to move in as a respite. The cost for the stay is generally a daily rate that includes the price of the apartment, three meals a day, housekeeping, linen service, transportation and the assistance you need. As a respite, you can also participate in the activities hosted daily inside and outside of the community.
